Learn about the ways that PER recognized their wins and supported their Central Florida community in 2022

At PER, our team enjoys spending time with one another to celebrate our successes and holidays throughout the year. 

In 2022, in addition to coming together to recognize our wins, we also had the opportunity to give back to our Central Florida community in more ways than one. 

Join us to explore the celebratory occasions and charitable opportunities that our team took part in last year. 

Basket Brigade of Central Florida

After sharing a meal together in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, our team gave back to the community by decorating boxes and filling them with nutritious meals to donate to the Basket Brigade of Central Florida, which helps provide a Thanksgiving meal to those in need.

The Basket Brigade of Central Florida has been helping families have a Thanksgiving meal for 25 years. Our team was able to go shopping for food items on the provided grocery lists, fill our colorfully decorated boxes with the items, and deliver them to the designated drop-off spot for volunteers to supply to families in need. The Mustard Seed of Central Florida

PER is a proud sponsor of The Mustard Seed of Central Florida’s Annual Raise the Table charity event.

Our team enjoys being a part of this event each year to help support the Mustard Seed in raising critical funds for individuals and families who are transitioning out of homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, starting over after a natural disaster, or experiencing a medical or financial hardship. In 2022, our team attended the event which featured a live auction, dancing, and performances by a popular local cover band and Orlando’s Poet Laureate Shawn Welcome. [2]

Deck the Halls

In early December, our team gathered at the office to “Deck the Halls” for the holiday season.

Our staff came to work in their holiday best pajamas and enjoyed some delicious treats and drinks, while singing along to Christmas tunes and elfing around. 

Santa for Seniors

Customarily, our team participates in an annual holiday donation drive to help our Central Florida community during the end of the year.

“In 2022, Tina (our founder and president) lost her dad and I lost my grandmother after caring for her for 18 years. We wanted to do something extra special to give back during the holidays in their honor. Our team decided to commemorate them and bring smiles to local senior citizens by “Being a Santa to a Senior,” shares Veronica Ramos, Senior HR Generalist at PER. 

Through the ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ program, Home Instead of Orlando and community volunteers organized and delivered gifts that we purchased for the aging population of Central Florida to brighten their holiday seasons.

Since the program was launched 20 years ago, it has provided 2.1 million gifts, brightened the holiday season for 750,000 seniors, and dispatched 65,000 volunteers. [3]  

Our team enjoyed the opportunity to join hands and participate in this great event for a community in need.

Holiday Luncheon

Our team also held our annual holiday luncheon in December to celebrate the end of the year and start of the holiday season. 

“We enjoyed appetizers, a gourmet lunch, and drinks on deck. We razzed each other during our white elephant gift exchange, and enjoyed playing a variety of games and trivia,” adds Veronica.
